What is ChargeX?

ChargeX is the premier conference bringing together subscription merchants, partners, and media. The focus of the event is to empower ecommerce businesses to grow and scale through easy-to-use payment software solutions. Hosted by Recharge, this conference is ideally suited for both merchants currently implementing a recurring business model (subscriptions, loyalty programs, subscribe-and-save options, and more) and those curious about their customer payment options for their online store. ChargeX is taking place from April 26–28 in Washington, D.C.

Who from my company should attend ChargeX?

Anyone who is part of sourcing, contracting, and/or managing your ecommerce business or payments should consider attending ChargeX. We will also have relevant content for founders, marketing teams, and anyone interested in connecting with our technical teams.

What is the COVID-19 policy for this event?

Our community’s well-being is extremely important to us. We are monitoring the COVID-19 situation closely and taking the necessary precautions to support the well-being of all attendees and host a safe and rewarding in-person event.

We are continuously monitoring requirements and guidelines for health and safety from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

At this time, we do not expect the need to enforce masking or testing protocols. However, we will update this page should anything change.

Will there be networking opportunities?

Yes! At ChargeX, attendees not only have the ability to attend sessions, but also to partake in networking events and activities, such as:

  • A casual opening reception on April 26
  • Local activities and dinners sponsored by our partners
  • An evening reception on April 27 at D.C.’s LINE Hotel

I need a Visa Letter to attend. How do I request one?

At this time, we are not able to sponsor visas for this conference. Please contact your Recharge account manager to discuss further.

Will there be a special rate at the hotel if I decide to arrive early or stay later?

Yes! Our special event rate of $319.00 / night will be honored 3 days prior to and 3 days after the conference, pending availability. Learn more about our hotel room blocks and special rates.

I’m traveling with others outside my professional space. Can they also attend?

ChargeX has limited capacity and is unable to accommodate additional guests at any of the sponsored events, including the optional activities.

I have a dietary restriction. Will there be accommodations?

Of course! ChargeX is committed to creating an inclusive environment for all participants. All group meals will include vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and dairy-free options. If you require additional dietary accommodations, please reach out to [email protected].

ChargeX will be held at the Marriott Marquis Washington DC, located at 901 Massachusetts Ave NW, Washington, D.C. 20001.

What is the closest airport?

Choose from three nearby airports that service the Washington, D.C. area:

  • DCA - Reagan National Airport, located 4.6 miles from the conference
  • IAD - Dulles International Airport, located 27.6 miles from the conference
  • BWI - Baltimore/Washington International Airport, located 31.7 miles from the conference

Additionally, for those traveling from the Northeastern United States, there are easy and cost-effective train options.

What are the parking arrangements?

The hotel offers valet parking only for a fee of $60.18 / night + tax.

Are there any organized shuttles?

Shuttles will be arranged for any offsite events that are not within a reasonable walking distance of the hotel.

What is the dress code?

The dress code for the conference is comfortable/casual.

What is the expected weather?

April is peak cherry blossom season in Washington, D.C., making this one of the most popular times to visit the area. The temperature is cool, with an average high around 67ºF. Most activities will be hosted indoors, and conference venue temperatures can vary. We recommend packing layers to ensure your comfort indoors and outdoors.

Can I register at the venue?

Unfortunately, registration for this event closes at midnight on March 31, 2023 and is not available at the venue.

How much do ChargeX tickets cost?

Early bird tickets are $450 and full price tickets are $550.

Is there a discount available for me?

Early bird tickets are $100 off. Contact your account manager to ask about any available discounts.

I am a Tech Partner—can I attend ChargeX?

The only way to gain access to the event as a technology partner is to sponsor—there will be no general admission tickets available. Contact [email protected] to discuss sponsorship opportunities.

I am an Agency Partner—can I attend ChargeX?

What is the cancellation policy for ChargeX?

Our tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. However, if you have a unique situation preventing you from attending and would like to request a refund, please email [email protected].
