Start the year off right

It’s been a busy few months here at Recharge, and what better way to start 2022 off right than with a monthly recap, dedicated to the most impactful releases in our Changelog feed! For those unfamiliar, Recharge’s Changelog is a communication tool that allows the team to communicate product features, releases, or enhancements to our merchants in real-time.

Merchant portal & merchant experience

The months of December and January were dedicated to improving the merchant experience, making it easier than ever to get up and running with Recharge. December saw the release of a new ‘Accounts and Permissions’ feature on Recharge, allowing store owners the option to edit and update what new and existing team members can access in their store.

A ‘Subscriptions’ section was added in the navigation bar of the admin portal, providing high level insights like ‘subscription ID,’ ‘address ID,’ ‘customer email,’ etc. However, users can now search for specific subscription data, filter by subscription status, and edit subscription ID’s—making it easy to pull specific information as needed.

Also included in this roundup is the ability to open both the Shopify and BigCommerce apps as standalone tabs (vs. embedded), improving performance and allowing for full functionality across additional browsers and devices (mobile included!).

But we didn’t stop there—we also made it faster and easier to update products and their pricing! Product search performance in the customer portal was improved by prioritizing relevant subsets of products, where previously the entire catalog was loaded at once. Users can also now bulk update products, allowing the ability to update subscription properties for up to 10,000 products in a single collection. Added functionality to edit existing discounts was rolled out, increasing the number of uses and extending expiration dates on all discounts.

RechargeSMS

January has been an exciting month for RechargeSMS, as the team released functionality for a brand new customer opt-in post-purchase. The new landing page opt-in enables RechargeSMS merchants to create and deploy a custom landing page in minutes, allowing for current subscribers to sign up for transactional messages via email or SMS.
